Welcome to the State and Federal Regulations Compliance Database!

The Office of the General Counsel and Office of Internal Audit have compiled a listing of several local, state and federal regulations and laws that are applicable to many of the activities conducted by, or in connection with, Kent State University.

The purpose of this site is two-fold. First, it can be used as a resource by university staff, faculty and students to research the regulatory responsibilities of several University departments and personnel. Secondly, the site also provides the concerned user with an opportunity to contact the office or individual, whose position/area is most directly related to a given regulation, to express concerns or ask questions.

Using the site:

When each regulation is entered into the database, information is entered into six fields:

  1. Regulation
  2. Contact Name
  3. Department
  4. KSU Policy
  5. Summary
  6. Requirements

By entering a keyword into the database box above, the user can search for that keyword in one of these six areas. The use the database:

  1. Select a search field from the pull-down menu, then
  2. Enter a keyword, and
  3. Select Search.

Once your results come up, if you would like to see more about a certain regulation or policy, just click on it!

SHOW ALL FUNCTIONALITY – If you would like to see all of the contents of a particular field (such as all the regulations in this database), select the search field from the drop down menu and press “search.” All of the entries in that field will be shown.
